I wonder how many scaffolders have ever had to work on a pier like this? My granddad was a scaffolder, he scaffolded Blackpool Tower apparently... but then he used to tell me he swallowed snooker balls... ;)

I lived in Blackpool. I believe your Grandad. Swallowing snooker balls scaffolders sounds very Blackpool. Good to your pier is being supported one way or another.
